Gustav Collection: Gustav VII, 2017

Oil on canvas, tapestry with two metal rods, 62 x 48 in

The Story Behind the Painting: My name is Gustav. I am happy today but also a little bit concerned. The closing was yesterday, final papers signed and sealed by our King today. Now I am the official owner of a little oasis in the desert, with a creek, a few dozen palms end even a few orange trees. Hard work and dedication to my Lord had been rewarded, but I am worried if I am worthy of such a present. My Lord is very kind to me. – Allois & Jorgé

The story  behind the painting:
“The day I was crowned I had a visitor. Sir Gustav IV approached me during after-party festivities and informed My Royal Highness that it is his duty to lead me to my new Kingdom. Place looked neat enough, I agreed. Great honors come with great responsibilities, my Royal duty is to keep The Secret of the Floating Kingdom. There exists a blue  Edelweiss, this flower connects our two worlds. Blue Edelweiss is a symbol of my silence when I am here… “(Allois & Jörge)
Olive & Laila 2, Permanent Collection of Joanna Cassidy

SOLD

 The story behind the painting:

My name is Leila, Olive is my butler. He is also my tutor, my confidante and, above all, he is my hair stylist. As a woman, I carry all my memories with me, these memories are intertwined between the curls of my golden hair. Some memories are dear to me, some other pain me a lot. Every night Olive brushes my hair with his magic comb and makes all the ugly memories hide and wrinkles disappear. To make this magic work we both must wear our medallions, they provide paramagical connection between Olive and me during the ritual. These necklaces were custom ordered by Olive from Locus Graham IV, jewelry designer employed by Empress Laila. In our Floating Kingdom such luxuries do not come free, and Olive had to pay dearly to acquire them. Being a true Gentleman, he never told me how many of his nine lives he had to forfeit to keep me young and happy. I know that Olive loves me.

P.S. Medallion design was inspired by Loree Rodkin jewelry. Medallions have moonstone center with black & white diamonds set in rose gold. (Allois and Jörge)

My name is Margo, I am the Collector. I collect dreams. Collection of my childhood dreams protects me when I am getting sad or lonely. That is why I am still a little girl.  (Allois and Jörge)

The story  behind the painting:

In the Beginning there was Darkness, then there was Light, and that was Good. But then The Shadows appeared and Shadows followed The Light. Everywhere The Light went, Shadows followed. You think of Shadows as two-dimensional, but they are Not! Shadows have volume, they have weight and they have intent! And their intent is Not Good… We are the Hunters, we hunt Shadows. Our names: Allan and Francisc. If your Light gets soft or starts to flicker, we give you a second chance. (Allois & Jörge)

Le Baron Collection: Christopher & Marcel, 2017

Oil on canvas, 2017, 30 x30 in, framed

The story  behind the painting:

“My name is Christopher, I think of Marcel as my Guardian Angel. I am not alone in my belief; my father also thinks that Marcel is his Guardian angel. We all know this is not true: Marcel watches over our whole family but he guards only the kids, my sister and me. My great-great-grandmother found Marcel under a Christmas tree in our family home, Château de Tiregand. Marcel has been with my family ever since. Marcel watches over me, he helps me to be good during the whole year, but on Christmas Marcel oversees that Santa Claus is good to me. Marcel is very wise and very powerful, I am very proud of him! Marcel makes sure that my good behavior during the year is rewarded. Every year I am thinking very hard about what I want for Christmas, I want so many things but there will only be one present! Marcel never fails me but on Christmas Eve I am always worried if he knows what I really-really want. Many wishes but only one present, it will be so much fun tomorrow to see what my best wish really is! Merry Christmas!!!” (Allois & Jörge)

Oil on oxidized metal, 19″ x 17″, antique framed

The story  behind the painting:

Dreamcatchers. The hunt goes on! It goes on forever, it started the moment your ancestors learned how to dream, and the chase will never end. When you wish that all your dreams come true, you wish the impossible. Only the strongest dreams may come true, because only the strongest dreams will be hunted down to be tamed and morphed into your reality. We are your Dreamcatchers. We are professional hunters, and as such we never go after sick, weak, or deformed dreams. If you’ll ever dream something grand and beautiful, we shall be ready! We get our strength from you, so if you want us to hunt down your dream, YOU must be strong and brave and determined. Who we are? Ask your Guardian Angel, he knows us well. (Allois & Jörge)

Oil on canvas, 30″ x 30″, framed

Amadeus, 2018, Permanent Collection of Dazza Del Rio

Oil on canvas, 20.5″ x 24.5″, framed

Amadeus. My name is Amadeus, and I am a certified darling. I am cute, I am fluffy, I drink warm milk and spend my days on silk pillows: high-maintenance Ladies adore me! Men?… not so much! no, men definitely do not even like me. But they have no say on the matter of my lifestyle of decadent indulgences, lifestyle provided by them and enforced by the Ladies. But enough of you, let’s talk about me! Me, I love Men! If there is one ultimate pleasure I cannot live without, it is a good fight. Men are good at fighting and killing them in mortal but fair combat makes my life worth living. I am a member of the Intergalactic Fight Club, and in search of a good fight I have to travel, I travel a lot. Actually, I visited your planet before, about 65 million years ago, on my five-time removed incarnation. Dinosaurs ruled the Earth then, they were terrific fighters! They were cunning, powerful brutes and they loved to fight as much as I do. Unfortunately, dinosaurs did not have Heaven or reincarnation, so eventually I killed all of them. I had to cover my tracks by a small meteorite, otherwise The Emperor of the Floating Kingdom could have learned about our not-too-legal Fight Club.

I keep a few trophies from my best wins, T-Rex tooth which is almost as big as me, honey-pearl from the deadly beehive of alpha-Centauri, top-hat of (Red) Baron von Richthofen. My dear ladies do not know about my alter-ego, they adore my soft and gentle side, and never suspect my nighttime adventures and what I do with their handsome Men. Sometimes I think that it is not the Men or Beast but Ladies pampering and Heavenly music of my namesake which will bring me to my end. I cannot help it, but the sound of me singing-along to The Magic Flute is excruciating to my sensitive audiophile ears! Wish I could sing Mozart’s latest operas, the ones he wrote after being invited into the Floating Kingdom. Oops, I do sing my favorite: “Don Giovanni in Outer Space” but all I get from the Ladies is a gentle cooing and some warm milk! I am a horrible singer!!! (Allois and Jörge)

The story behind the painting:

Lorry and Wilfred, 2017

The Theater of Earth

Oil on gesso panel, 40 x 30 in, framed

The Theater of Earth. This is my latest painting from The Floating Kingdom series. Painting was inspired by a fleeting encounter with a wonderful couple. Two creatures of power and fine attributes are enjoying their night out at the theater. They are watching a new channel, a non-stop reality show broadcasted from the planet Earth. Our couple is mildly interested in this new program, but you can tell that they are not really concerned about its outcome or happy endings for the characters (called Humans). They are happy being next to each other and their love fills the painting with an aura of happiness. (Allois and Jörge)

Aurora Collection: Aurora & Kent, 2017

SOLD

Oil on canvas, 20″ x 16″, framed, private collection

The story  behind the painting:

Aurora & Kent. My name is Aurora, it is my duty is to meet the new day and to greet the Sun. I bring the colors of the Dawn into your dreams so that you start your day with a smile. I chase away your dark thoughts and your nightmares, I am the one who keeps you sane.

Monclaire Sheri & Antoine, 2018

Monclaire Sheri and Antoine.  My name is Monclaire Cheri and I like to play. When I was a little girl I had a lot of friends to play with, but as we were getting older my friends started to lose interest in games. For a while I was sad because I had to play alone, but then it was even more fun because I discovered how to play with people. I was not too cruel to them, I swear! And then I found a friend. Antoine is the beast playmate I could ever dream of. Sometimes I wonder, maybe I dreamed him into existence? Together with Antoine we invented a million new games. We teach our children the Art of Playfulness: I teach them how to get the most fun out of each game, Antoine teaches them how to stay safe when playing with dangerous or boring creatures. You are invited into our Game, and if you refuse we are going to play anyway, but we are going to play with you! (Allois and Jörge)

Picnic Collection: Picnic 2

 Oil on gesso panel, 40″ x 30″

Picnic 2, 2015

SOLD

Oil on gesso panel, 24″ x 18″, private collection

The story behind the painting:

My name is Lars de Montesquieu. You must have heard about my father, Baron de Montesquieu. My mother is still alive and well but she is not quite human. I love to travel. I travel in an old-fashioned way by train, boat or by car and I love to use my talents for slipping into parallel worlds and different realities. I believe that peculiarities of my genetics and upbringing provide me with unique means to finding keys to personal happiness. My twelve-volume treatise “Happiness is Easy” is going into its second printing but it has yet to be translated into Human language. (Allois & Jörge)
