Aurora Collection: Aurora & Kent

Aurora & Kent, 2017, oil on canvas, 20″ x 16″, framed

The story  behind the painting:

Aurora and Kent. We are the Cat People, in different shapes and disguises we lived next to you throughout your whole history. We hunted you on the trees, we chased you through savannas, we killed you on the mountaintops of Nepal and in the jungles of Amazon. Your children know who is The King of the Kingdom before they can even speak, you are scared of the dark even before you meet our green eyes. Sometimes we let you be, but my children always keep an eye on you. You call them “pets”, they don’t mind, but cats know better who is who. My good friend Kent and his family always ask me to give you another chance. My people are getting tired of giving you another chance to screw up. Unless you change, there will be none of you no more, we make you disappear. Remember: We are Always Watching…

Monk Collection: Monk

Monk, 2017, oil on canvas, 14″ x 11″, framed

The story  behind the painting:

The Monk.  I have many faces and many names. Sometimes you called me by my true name: The Monk. I walked your people through the Desert, I taught your children under the Bodhi tree, I screamed at you from the mountaintops. But you stopped listening, so today I am changing. One more change for me, one last chance for you, my dear children!

Emperor Collection: Hunter

Hunter, 2017, oil on canvas, 24″ x 18″, framed

The story  behind the painting:

In the Beginning there was Darkness, then there was Light, and that was Good. But then The Shadows appeared and Shadows followed The Light. Everywhere The Light went, Shadows followed. You think of Shadows as two-dimensional, but they are Not! Shadows have volume, they have weight and they have intent! And their intent is Not Good… We are the Hunters, we hunt Shadows. Our names: Allan and Francisc. If your Light gets soft or starts to flicker, we give you a second chance.

Emperor Collection: Emperor

Emperor, oil on linen, 2016, 40.5″x 30.5″, framed, private collection

The story  behind the painting:
Rudolph and Bambino.  I am known to men by many names: as an Atlas who holds the World on his shoulders. or as the Turtles who keep the World afloat, as Father-figure or benevolent God who keeps the World safe. These minor duties are actually in the hands of my pet Bambino, the destiny of Earth is in her hands. When she feels quirky or bored, she plays with you and I receive a lot of complaints coming from all the Churches and Cathedrals of Earth. I never punish Bambino, I adore her playfulness, I let her be herself.
My duties of much greater magnitude and infinitely more boring. I am the Emperor, I keep the whole Universe in check. I make sure that cosmological constants are set within your comfort levels, that Entropy does not consume all the energy of your world, that black holes do not suck all the matter from your Galaxies. One day I will be allowed to relinquish my duties, one day I will trade places with Bambino. I will be young again.

Marcy. Sweet Assault.  Welcome Home, my darling! I will pour you a glass of sweet honey from my wild honeybees, I will bath you in the crystal waters of my mountain stream, I will sing you my songs of loneliness and devotion. And if you ever betray me, my wild bees will kill you! You are safe with me, my Love! (Allois and Jörge)

Olive & Laila Collection: Olive & Laila 3

 Olive & Laila 3, 2016, oil on oxidized steel, 19″ x 18″, artist collection

The story behind the painting:

Olive & Leila.   My name is Leila, Olive is my butler. He is also my tutor, my confidante and, above all, he is my hair stylist. As a woman, I carry all my memories with me, these memories are intertwined between the curls of my golden hair. Some memories are dear to me, while others pain me a lot. Every night Olive brushes my hair with his magic comb and makes all the ugly memories hide and disappear. This is our little secret of my eternal youth.
